COOPERATION FRAMES

The Center for Technologic & Industrial Cooperation is running activities to support and to stimulate the Romanian participation in the major European RTD Frameworks. These programmes include cooperation between research units and industrial companies – so called Collaborative Projects.

The main European Programme is the Framework Programme of the Community.

The running European projects where the Center is participating, has been launched within Framework Programme 6 (2002-2006) of the Community, the next one – Framework Programme 7 covering the period 2007-2013.

Depending of project type and activities included, the Center may play a major role (co-ordinator) – usually in the “Specific Support Actions” projects – or a simple role of participant (member of the consortium) in “Integrated Projects”.

The financing of these projects is assured, partially, by the European Commission.

The second European programme is Eureka Initiative, focused on SMEs technical support and on applied research projects, innovative ones.

The Eureka projects where the Center participated, has been completed with applications in industrial pilots.

The financing of the Romanian contribution in these projects has been done at national level, through the National Programme for Research-Development and Innovation.

The Center for Technologic and Industrial Cooperation stimulates the Romanian participation in the European projects by “support actions”, included in specific national projects within the National Programme “Research for Excelency” – CEEX.

The Module three of this programme is dedicated to increase the visibility of the Romanian research community in Europe and to stimulate the participation in the Framework Programme 7 of the Community.
